GoFree WIFI-1 Module

The WIFI-1 is a marine grade wireless gateway which allows owners of compatible Simrad Multifunction Display units to view data when utilised in conjunction with a wireless device.*

This low profile WiFi gateway may be small, but it packs a punch well above its weight, allowing multiple tablets or smartphones to be used to view Simrad network data. The WIFI-1 connects to Simrad Multifunction Displays via Ethernet and supports wireless connectivity using 802.11 b+g wireless protocols.

A number of Simrad Multifunction Display units can be used with just one WIFI-1 module, meaning that an entire system can be online with just the addition of one handy wireless gateway.

*In order to work in conjunction with the WIFI-1 module, your Simrad NSS Multifunction Display must be upgraded to software version RTM 2.5, which will be available for download from the Simrad Yachting website from November 2012.

GoFree Wireless Technology enables wireless viewing on a smartphone or tablet on the HDS Gen2, HDS Gen2 Touch. Control on your tablet on the HDS Gen2 Touch only.

Hyundai Veloster Turbo arrives at Detroit

Mon, 09 Jan 2012

Hyundai Veloster Turbo - US spec arrives at Detroit The Hyundai Veloster Turbo has debuted at the Detroit Auto Show with more aggressive looks and 201hp from its 1.6 litre Turbo. The Hyundai Veloster Turbo that’s now arrived at the Detroit Auto Show – after a small leak of Veloster Turbo pictures this morning – may not be exactly the same as the Veloster Turbo we’ll get in the UK (more on that in a moment), but it’s close enough to give us a good idea of what the Turbo will add to the Veloster equation. We already like that the Veloster has character, and we very much like that the Veloster Turbo gets enough power to match its looks.
