This flip down monitor comes in original packaging.  When I acquired it, I was told it was new, however the package was not sealed.  I inspected the package contents, and it is complete with mounting plate, remote, and manuals.  The system appears to have never been installed.  Since I did not know the history of this item, I bench tested it.  This model does not come with internal speakers, but does have a built in IR transmitter for wireless headphones.  Your audio source should be routed to your vehicle audio system.  In addition it should be wired to this system if you have wireless headphones.  I did not have NESA brand headphones for test, but did have a pair of Audiovox 2-channel automotive IR headphones.  These were used for test only, and are not included with this auction.  Video and audio both worked as they should.  All items were carefully placed back in original packaging.  Features should be readable in one of the photos.  As packaged from the manufacturer the monitor is black.  Video aspect ratio is 16:9.  If you have a question please ask before bidding.  Ships to lower 48 states only.

Jeep Grand Cherokee, there’s an app for that

Thu, 17 Jun 2010

Chrysler said on Thursday that it will release its owner’s manuals as smartphone apps. This is in addition to replacing its hard-copy owner’s manuals with DVDs and small quick-reference guides, something it did last year. The first iPhone manual will be available on June 19, for the 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee.

Armor-plated SUV among extravagant debuts at Top Marques Monaco show

Tue, 26 Apr 2011

While AutoWeek editors were pounding the pavement at the New York auto show last week, the world's silly rich were nodding polite approval at the Top Marques Monaco show. Included in the debuts were Gemballa, Fisker, Keating, Tirrito and Conquest, the latter of which showed off a ridiculously large, armor-plated SUV called the Knight XV that reportedly took organizers three hours just to maneuver it through the hall doors. Lest we forget that we're all human, Top Marques Monaco also had its “Black Friday at Wal-Mart” moments: According to organizers, Gemballa's world premiere of the Tornado was cut short after it was purchased “within 16 seconds of the show doors opening by a sheikh eager to have a piece of the action.” Full wrap-up release from Top Marques Monaco below.

Range Rover (2010): first official photos

Wed, 08 Apr 2009

By Tim Pollard First Official Pictures 08 April 2009 00:01 It looks like a minor model year facelift for Land Rover's range-topper, the Range Rover, but this 2010 iteration is claimed to boast 1420 new tooled parts on the car. And that doesn't include the powertrain, of which there's a clever-clogs new supercharged V8. The new Range Rover heads up a trio of renewed Land Rovers – and it'll arrive in August 2009, a few weeks before the similarly refreshed Discovery 4 and Range Rover Sport.
