The Porsche-ization of luxury-car maker Bentley moved another step forward on Wednesday as Rolf Frech was named as its engineering chief. Frech, who has been Porsche's director of the complete vehicle engineering group for the past decade, replaces Ulrich Eichhorn, who is set to become head of the VDA, the German auto-industry association. Eichhorn, 50, joined Bentley as engineering chief in 2003 from Volkswagen, where he had been in charge of research and development.

MINI JCW Cabrio at Monte Carlo Rally +video

Sun, 18 Oct 2009

MINI JCW Cabrio with Paddy Hopkirk and Rauno Altonen in Monte Carlo So MINI thought it would be a great idea to get these two Rally greats together and take them back to the scene of their former triumphs. Only this time they sent them to Monte Carlo in a brand new MINI John Cooper Works Cabriolet to drive round part of the Rally stage. This is properly good video from MINI, with some great cutting between the classic Mini in action and the legendary pair driving and reminiscing.
