New 1960 77 Ford Exhaust Port Divider 144 170 200 250 Falcon Maverick Fairlane

This new exhaust port divider fits

1962-70 Fairlane;

1960-70 Falcon / Comet;

1970-77 Maverick;

1965-73 Mustang;

all with 144, 170, 200 or

250 C.I.D. engines.

These inline 6-cylinder engine have an inherent flaw

that this cast-iron divider meant to correct.

It smooths the flow of No. 3 and No. 4 exhaust ports,

equalizing them with the other cylinders.

In dividing the flow channels,

they cancel out the negative effect of exhaust

from each cylinder flowing against each other.

By doing so, each cylinder produces

an equal amount of power at all RPM points,

thus increasing horsepower as much as 10%.

This part should be bonded into place

with high-temperature epoxy or

tack-welded into the port.

For use on 6-cylinder engines only.

Audi A1 Quattro gets the XCar treatment

Thu, 30 May 2013

The Audi A1 is just one of the cool European city cars we don't get here in the United States. It shares a platform with the VW Polo, Skoda Fabia and Seat Ibiza. Audi saw fit to drop the 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder from the last generation S3 in just 333 examples, all of which have reportedly been sold.

CAR top 10: the 10 best cars with three seats

Thu, 05 Jun 2014

By Chris Chilton Motor Industry 05 June 2014 17:15 Did anybody ever achieve greatness merely by re-arranging the chairs? Maybe not, but this lot gave it a good go. World’s most famous three-seater’s central driving position was claimed to offer perfect weight distribution, but Gordon Murray’s main-frame brain must have calculated that he could save hours giving demo rides to all his friends and neighbours if he installed an extra chair.

Fiat Qubo gets eco:Drive

Tue, 14 Jul 2009

the Fiat Qubo is now being fitted with eco:Drive - Fiat's economy driving monitor But as all things ‘Eco’ are the name of the game at the moment (which we’re all in favour of – just don’t use ‘Man-Made Climate Change’ as the reason) Fiat are bolting on their eco:Drive system to the Qubo – but don’t worry it will shove the price up if you’re thinking of getting one – it’s a freebie. The Fiat eco-Drive started out with a launch on the Fiat 500 earlier in the year, and is now available on not just the 500, but the Grand Punto and the Bravo. Basically, it’s a USB stick that you plug in to the car which can then be read by software to tell you how badly you’re driving.
