Tyre labelling not telling full story
Fri, 27 Jun 2014THE NEW TYRE LABELLING scheme to tell drivers how environmentally efficient a tyre performs is not giving the full picture, according to Emissions Analytics. This means drivers could be paying more for higher rated tyres when they would be as well off with a more affordable tyre.
BMW's N20 engine--four cylinders, more power
Fri, 18 Feb 2011More power, greater torque, reduced fuel consumption, lower tailpipe emissions and less weight--but better? The new engine, known as the N20 and set to lead a return of four-cylinder BMW models to North America for the first time since 1998, has been conceived to (indirectly) replace the company's long-running naturally aspirated 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder.
Great Wall Motors' Haval Coupe concept heading to Beijing
Mon, 14 Apr 2014Great Wall Motors will show the Haval Coupe concept at the upcoming Beijing motor show, an event that looks set to be dominated by this SUV crossover segment.Very few details and only these images of the car in a dark studio so it's impossible to comment on the work of recently-appointed GWM design director Pierre Leclercq, designer of the BMW X6. However what we can see are its trio of vertical lamp graphics front and rear, as the brand attempts to define its brand identity, as well as a tapered roofline, as befits its 'coupe' tag.More details to follow from Beijing.
