Students from Detroit's College for Creative Studies and University of Michigan have unveiled the results of the 18th annual American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI) summer automotive design internship. Three engineering students joined three transportation design students to produce concept vehicles that targeted either Generation X, Baby Boomers and the Millennial generation. The concept vehicles embody leading-edge steel technology utilizing a flexible platform.

Chevrolet sets base price for the 2011 Camaro convertible at $30,000

The price of the 2011 Chevrolet Camaro convertible when it hits showroom floors in February will be $30,000, including an $850 destination charge, General Motors said on Thursday. The price is about $2,000 more than a similarly equipped Ford Mustang convertible. The Camaro convertible will be available in the same trim levels as the coupe version.

Citroën has appointed Jean-Arthur Madelaine-Advenier as its new head of interior design. The 34-year-old Frenchman joins the firm from Tesla, where he had a brief stint as lead designer for interiors at the US-company's California studio. Madelaine-Advenier graduated from the RCA in London in 2003, then headed to Mercedes' advanced studio in Italy for a three-year stint as a junior interior designer.
