Problems with your McLaren MP4-12C? Have a ‘McLaren: The Wins’ coffee table book
Thu, 20 Oct 2011Ron Dennis apologises to McLaren MP4-12C owners A couple of weeks ago we reported that McLaren was having some teething problems with their new MP4-12C but weren’t, despite reports to the contrary, halting production. The problems seemed to be mainly software related, with issues including warning lights flashing on and battery drainage issues, which seemed to be because the MP4-12C’s electronics didn’t turn off when the car was halted. Let-off for 29-point takeaway driver
Thu, 23 Jan 2014A TAKEAWAY driver found using an unsafe car has been given 18 penalty points in one hit, but is still allowed to get behind the wheel. Ala Udin pleaded guilty to a string of motoring offences when he appeared before magistrates in Aberystwyth, Mid Wales. The 44-year-old father turned up to court with 11 points already on his licence and knowing that getting just one more would tip him over the ban threshold.
Younger Drivers Run Risk Through Service Skipping
Thu, 10 Oct 2013RECENT research carried out by the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) has revealed that many younger drivers are failing to have their car serviced and maintained correctly. Risking vehicle-related financial, safety and efficiency problems, younger motorists are not only failing themselves, but other road users too. Polling 2,000 motorists on attitudes towards car maintenance, the survey found that 10% of drivers aged 18-24 claim their vehicle isn’t ever serviced.
