Volvo PCP Performance Division planned on the back of rising sales

Mon, 04 Jul 2011

The Volvo C30 PCP by Polestar - 400bhp and £50k You’re not a serious player in the desirable saloon car stakes unless you have a performance division. BMW has the M Division and Mercedes has AMG; even VW has swapped out its Volkswagen Individual in to a division just to fettle ‘R’ cars and sell associated paraphernalia - Volkswagen R GmbH. Honda CR-Z Mugen: First photos revealed

Wed, 18 May 2011

Honda CR-Z Mugen - almost ready for Goodwood We got news a couple of months ago that Honda were getting Mugen to do a tuning job on the CR-Z Hybrid and put together a ‘Concept’ for this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed. But it seemed clear that although Honda were keen to point out that the Honda CR-Z Mugen would be a one-off, it was unlikely to stay that way. Honda are desperate to inject a bit 0f aggression in to the lethargic CR-Z, and a nippy Mugen version would help its image no end.

Rubens wins in Valencia

Sun, 23 Aug 2009

Rubens Barrichello celebrates with Ross Brawn after winning the European Grand Prix Rubens has had a moan or two about his team lately, but he had nothing but praise for them as he held on to the lead he took after Hamilton in the McLaren had a pit stop from hell – when his tyres stayed in the pit garage rather too long – and drove like the veteran he is. Button, on the other hand, managed to throw away his grid position at the start and spent the whol;e race playing catch-up. He managed to finish in seventh – for a very valuable two points – but hge was never in contention.
