Kansas City car dealer admits to sending $23,500 to al-Qaida
Fri, 21 May 2010A Kansas City used-car and auto-parts dealer admitted in federal court to sending $23,500 to terrorist group al-Qaida. Khalid Ouazzani pleaded guilty on Wednesday to terrorism-related charges in court in Missouri and admitted he sent the money to the terrorist organization through a bank in the United Arab Emirates in 2007-08. He also pleaded guilty to bank fraud and money laundering.
London rush hour 'worst in UK'

The study of 20 million miles of telematics data by Direct Line Drive Plus shows that despite London having more congestion-fighting measures than anywhere else in the country, its road-based commuters suffer worse peak time traffic misery than anywhere else. During peak times, cars in Westminster travel at an average speed of just 10.06mph, compared to a figure of 14.38mph across the biggest British cities.
Chevrolet Volt fire probe is closed, NHTSA says
Sat, 21 Jan 2012U.S. safety regulators said Friday that they've closed an eight-week investigation into the Chevrolet Volt, concluding that the plug-in hybrid's battery doesn't pose a significant fire risk following a crash. In a statement, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said it "does not believe that Chevy Volts or other electric vehicles pose a greater risk of fire than gasoline-powered vehicles." The agency said that modifications intended to reinforce the Volt's 435-pound lithium-ion battery pack that General Motors announced on Jan.
