About Us:
Since 1948

When the original ARA was founded, until today, our many years of experience in serving both domestic and export customers has taught us that the customer is truly “King” and that adaptation to the special needs and markets of this global automotive economy are key to a successful partnership with our many customers around the world.

We are pioneers in the field of global sourcing for MVAC components, systems, replacement parts, refrigeration, and automotive accessories. Whether you need a new AC Compressor, Expansion Valve, Dryer or any other AC parts gives a call we can find it for you.

Shipping: Free within the continental U.S. All orders outside the U.S. will be charged an additional fee.

Please understand that shipping to areas like Puerto Rico, Hawaii and other areas outside the continent of the United States will be charged for shipping so please ask before buying what the shipping would be.

Compressor Warranty: Yes 1 year.  Compressor warranty is void unless the drier/accumulator, orifice tube and/or expansion valve is replaced upon installation and system is flushed using generally accepted methods. The proper lubricant must be used. Units returned without lubricant and not properly capped will be disallowed.

Additional AC Compressor Info:

Your AC Compressor is like the heart of your AC system. The AC Compressor is a pump that is used to circulate refrigerant in the system. We get a lot of questions about AC Compressors that we will answer below, related to AC Compressor failure.

1.       Will the AC Compressor give any signs before failure? Most of the time the AC Compressor will make different noises when it engages, it varies with the vehicle but it is most noticeable when the AC is turned on, and the clutch engages the compressor.

2.       What causes the AC Compressor to go bad? The AC Compressor is in simple terms a pump, it has moving parts on the inside that will eventually after long use wear out and need replaced. Lack of lubrication has been the leading cause of failure in most cases. The AC Compressor must have oil in the system. If a leak in the system develops oil is lost and there is not enough oil to sufficiently lubricate the ac compressor.

3.       What other things should I consider when I change the AC Compressor? Other things to take into consideration are the expansion valve/orifice tube and the accumulator drier, they could become clogged with contaminants and/or plugged and need replaced.

4.       Does the ac system need flushed? Yes the AC system should be flushed thoroughly and sometimes the condenser may need to be replaced to be positive any and all contaminants are out of the system and the ac compressor can properly do its job.

5.       Are there any other parts I should replace? It is highly recommended to change the following parts along with the AC Compressor:

a.       Orifice tube

b.      Accumulator/Reciever driers

c.       Expansion valve

Cadillac ELR – a Chevy Volt in posh clothes – confirmed

Thu, 18 Aug 2011

The Cadillac Converj is going in to production as the Cadillac ELR When GM revealed the Cadillac Converj Concept at Detroit in 2009 it all looked very promising. But it came to nothing, despite rumours it was going in to production. But now it is going in to production, as the Cadillac ELR.

Fiat 500: US Spec Fiat 500 revealed in LA

Fri, 19 Nov 2010

U.S. Spec Fiat 500 revealed at the Los Angeles Motor Show It would have been completely unthinkable just a few years ago; a small Fiat not just entering the US market but doing so amid much domestic anticipation and razzmatazz. But it’s happened – the car buyers of America have been introduced to the Fiat 500 at the Los Angeles Motor Show.

2015 Subaru WRX debuts at Los Angeles Auto Show

Wed, 20 Nov 2013

If you loved the rakish WRX concept that bowed in New York earlier this year, the production 2015 WRX, which debuted today at the Los Angeles Auto Show, may be a slight downer: decidedly less boy-racer than its predecessors, its sculpted fender flares and unique sheetmetal only slightly disguise its Impreza rootstock. But the WRX has always been more about performance than style, anyway, and Subaru says the new car will top its predecessor on that front. The '14 WRX's 2.0-liter turbocharged boxer-four squeezes out 268 hp and 258 lb-ft -- just a little bit more than the outgoing 2.5-liter turbo-equipped car.
