Installation: This process is similar to a bicycle tire tube repair, the key is have a well prepared clean and dry surface. All you do is find the best location or placement, clean the surface with a approved solvent to remove any dirt or oil. Place rubber D-Ring molding where you want it to be located and draw a circle around it with a ball point pen. Very lightly sand to further clean and rough up the surface. Then apply a thin coat of Achilles contact cement to BOTH the boat surface inside the circle you made, and the rubber molding D-Ring. A thin coat of cement is all that is required, (too thick a coating will make the bond weaker) Now wait 10 minutes until it is no longer wet, and place the rubber D-Ring on to the boats surface together. Then apply firm hand pressure. It will full cure in about one hour. Note: You are purchasing 2 Molded D-Ring assemblies. It does NOT include cleaning solvent, or contact glue. The USP of the Goodwood MMS is the opportunity – for a lucky few – to take an interesting bit of kit up the Goodwood hillclimb. This year Claire had drawn the tickets for the day; tickets Volvo had kindly sent us (many thanks, guys) after they asked us to drive the hillclimb in a Polestar car.
