JEANTET founded the JEANTET company which manufactured and sold mainly
pince-nez spectacle frames for cyclists and automobile drivers. The Aviator Goggle was created by
Leon JEANTET, Eugene's son, on 3 July 1929. It was marketed to all sportsmen
involved with planes, motorcycles and cars. Since then, not much has changed at
the JEANTET company. Various family members have continued the traditions of
its founder and in 1992, Pierre-Leon recommenced production of the Aviator Goggle. To this day the JEANTET goggles are
still made on the same premises, utilizing the same tools and materials. To produce a single pair of goggles
requires 60 separate manual operations, thus creating an object of tradition
and quality. WILL SHIP WORLDWIDE. FREE WORLDWIDE PRIORITY AIR MAIL SHIPPING, WITH INSURANCE AND TRACKING NUMBER (SIGNED-FOR) We combine shipping. Payment must be received within 4 days of auction close.

VW Taigun Compact SUV heading for production
Tue, 23 Apr 2013It was a good-looking and appealing effort from VW to tap in to the very compact SUV market, with a real family look (a Tiguan on a boil wash), peppy little 3-cylinder 1.0 litre engine delivering 108bhp and a 0-62mph of 9.2 seconds (with 60mpg economy) and enough room to carry stuff and people thanks to an extra 50mm in the wheelbase compared to the Up! Now it looks like the Taigun is heading for production after VW’s Chief designer, Klaus Bishoff, told Autoexpress that he deeply believed the Taigun would be heading for VW showrooms very soon, and could be sold in the UK and Europe as well as in emerging markets. So you can add the Taigun to the list of VW’s SUV offerings, and with new versions of the Tiguan and Touareg (perhaps based on the CrossBlue Concept) and a Polo based SUV on the way too, it looks like VW are covering all the bases.
Top Gear: Jaguar E-Type, BMW 1-series M & Alice Cooper
Fri, 24 Jun 2011Top Gear Series - back for Series 17 on Sunday As the nice man from the BBC who sent us the Top Gear Series 17 photos said, “The world’s favourite programme about cars and middle aged men falling over returns for a brand new series”; this Sunday 26th June 8pm. And what goodies do they have in store for us in the new TG series? Well, we already know about the Nissan LEAF jolly to Lincoln and the Hot Hatch expedition to Lucca (including a detour to drive the Monaco F1 Circuit), but neither of those will be in episode one.
