Cadillac ELR comes with free home-charging station

The company will provide a 240-Volt Level 2 home-charging station including installation with a new ELR. Cadillac hopes this incentive just might sway some buyers who have been thinking about buying the luxury gas-electric hybrid, or those who have been cross-shopping the ELR with the Tesla Model S.

Fri, 11 May 2012Tesla Model S - deliveries start in June Tesla Motors will deliver the first customer Tesla Model S cars to customer in the US in June as Tesla finally hits the make or break point. The Tesla Model S has been a long time coming, but Tesla now say that the first Model S cars will start to arrive with customers in the US in June, slightly ahead of schedule – which must be a first for Tesla. The first 1,000 deliveries will be of the range-topping Signature Series cars which come with the big 85kWh battery pack and lots of toys and cosmetic embellishments, but after that it’s regular Model S deliveries, although the cheaper versions with smaller battery packs and lower range won’t arrive until later.
£110BN price tag put on Deadly accidents by Road Safety Body
Mon, 24 Mar 2014A NEW report commissioned by a parliamentary safety group claims that deaths and serious injuries on the roads are likely to cost society £110 billion in the years to 2030. According to the Parliamentary Advisory Committee for Transport Safety (Pacts), the total of those killed or seriously injured (KSIs) over this period is expected to be around a third of a million. These figures are expected despite the report predicting a dip in KSIs and slight injuries by 2030 compared with figures for 2012.
