Made in Portugal by Boys Ran Fast This style of cap known by many names (golf cap, driver cap, ivy cap, Jeff cap, and flat cap, just to name a few) got it's unique beginning in England during the 16th Century. In order to stimulant wool consumption and general trade, the British Parliament passed an act in 1571 that required all males over the age of six that were not of nobility to wear a wool flat cap on Sundays and holidays. Although the act was later repealed in 1597, by then the ivy cap was fully entrenched in English culture. By the 19th Century, almost all working class men wore ivy caps throughout Britain and Ireland. The upper-class also wore caps made from finer materials on the countryside. Wed, 23 May 2012With a hugely impressive 263 entries in total, the judges of the 2012 Car Design News – Opel/Vauxhall Interactive Competition had an unenviable task ahead of them when they gathered at the firm's head quarters in Russelsheim, Germany on Monday 21 May. Their challenge was to shortlist a number of students to progress to the next stage of the competition. The winner will be announced at the 2012 Paris motorshow.

Thu, 13 Dec 2012The 2013 Mercedes E Class and E Class Estate get a facelift with updates to the styling and engines and higher levels of equipment. The restyling of the 2013 E-Class is surprisingly comprehensive for what amounts to a mid-life facelift, with new single headlights replacing the old split lights, new grill – with the choice of a traditional grill or a sporty version (think SLC grill) – new bumpers, new bonnet, smoother haunches and a crease line down the side all the way to the new LED tail lights. Inside, the new E Class gets two part trim the extends right across the dash in either wood (if you’re old) or aluminium (if you’re not), new analogue clock in the middle between the air vents, new instrument cluster, new air vents, new centre console and new steering wheel with a Direct Select lever and flappy paddles.
