I bought these new Buck Algonquin shaft couplings, then before installing them realized the boat would be underpowered. I went with larger engines and new shafts, so I'm selling off the 1-1/2" couplings. These Buck Algonquin couplings (model 50475b1500) are in good condition. They're just dusty from sitting on a shelf, and one has a bit of surface rust from me leaving the box top open. They retail for $113 each. The auction price is for each one.

Automakers need love, not just quality, Strategic Vision study shows
Wed, 13 Jul 2011Strategic Vision, a company that studies how and why consumers make decisions, released its yearly Total Quality Index on July 12, and the results might be surprising. The study found that love--how much or what part of a car that people like--is more important than the number of problems a car has when choosing a vehicle. For example Ford, which was a quality leader in the study, received a number of complaints about its Sync system.

A replacement for the Honda NSX (or Acura NSX for the US) has been on and off for years. But we knew the new NSX Concept was coming to Detroit and we thought it would have a passing resemblance to the Tony Stark car in the New Avengers.

Fri, 05 Sep 2014The Citroen Divine DS Concept is heading for Paris Citroen do good concepts, and the DS Divine Concept is another slightly barking gilded lily from the French car makers, pointing the way to future DS models and design. About the size of a DS4, the DS Divine is driving the DS brand in a different direction to Citroen, and the lack of any Citroen badging demonstrates Citroen’s intent to set the DS models apart from the regular Citroen models as a standalone brand around the world, much as they already do in China. With a big diamond pattern grill up front and its low, squat stance, the DS Divine looks convincing, even if the oversize alloys and some of the detailing are typically ‘concept’, particularly the windowless back end.
