Sun, 29 Apr 2012Bentley Hunaudieres Now seemingly forgotten, the Bentley Hunaudières Concept car from the 1999 Geneva Motor Show was the forerunner to the Bugatti Veyron. At the end of the 1990s Volkswagen embarked on a buying frenzy that would see them become makers of some of the world’s most desirable cars, acquiring Bentley, Bugatti and Lamborghini in the space of a few months in 1998. But even though VW had bought Bentley and Bugatti it seems they weren’t entirely sure at first where they would take their new marques, and at the 1999 Geneva Motor Show they revealed a W16 hypercar.
Peugeot unveils hybrid Le Mans racer

Shown off at Silverstone this weekend the hybrid 908 features a similar kinetic energy recovery setup to next year’s Formula 1 system. The 908’s ‘HY’ undertook a number of demonstration laps in front of the packed grandstands and showed how Peugeot’s passenger car technology is filtering through to its motorsport activities.
College Exhibition: Coventry University MA Degree Show 2009
Wed, 23 Dec 2009MA students from Coventry University's School of Art and Design presented their annual degree show at Coventry Transport Museum late last month. Entitled ‘Keep Movin', the nine graduating students showed a range of projects, which centered on the theme of sustainable transportation, energy efficient vehicles and new materials. There was also a sample of an earlier group project that explored the future of the car based on the ‘Foresight Future Scenarios 2055'.
