Stunners turn out for San Marino Motor Classic
Mon, 13 Jun 2011A splendid new concours debuted on the sprawling main lawn of Lacy Park in sunny San Marino, Calif., on June 12--the San Marino Motor Classic. Featuring nearly 200 classic cars of all eras--from a Brass Era 1909 Pierce-Arrow Touring to a 2011 Ferrari 599 GTO--there was depth and breadth enough to satisfy everyone. While modern Porsches, Ferraris and even hot rods and Cobras spread out on side lawns of the great park, the balance of the show--82 of 179 registered entries--were Classic Car Club of America (CCCA) Packards, Lincolns, Cadillacs and Rolls-Royces, scattered across the main lawn.
Mazda Hazumi Geneva concept car hints at next 2 supermini
Sun, 23 Feb 2014Mazda Mazda has issued this solitary teaser image of the new Hazumi concept car, which will be unveiled fully at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show. The Mazda Hazumi will give plenty of clues about the next generation Mazda 2 supermini, bound for showrooms in 2015. It's plain to see from this shadowy teaser photo that the next Mazda 2 will gain plenty of design inspiration from the latest family look as seen on the Mazda 3 rival for VW's Golf.
Rinspeed to debut autonomous XchangE concept at Geneva motor show
Mon, 24 Feb 2014Dutch coachbuilder Rinspeed has built a reputation for imagining and creating cars from 10 years in the future and making them a reality, either for well-heeled customers or for auto show crowds. So it came as no surprise when it revealed its newest project slated for the 2014 Geneva motor show, meant to preview the interiors of the self-driving cars of tomorrow. Yes, that's a Tesla Model S underneath with a (mostly) muted restyling of the front fascia, though it is really the interior that's meant to be the showpiece.
