Is this Aventador with Veyron wheels the Lamborghini Urus in the making? What is the Lamborghini Urus, you may ask? The issue is not with the gearbox itself – BMW successfully replaced the European model’s seven-speed SMG box with the old-shape M5’s six-speed manual – but with the compromises that were needed to get there. Without the benefit of computer control for the opening and closing of the clutch plates, M division’s engineers couldn’t eliminate axle tramp under hard take-offs.

BMW M3 Lime Rock Park Edition set for fall

The current generation of the BMW M3 has been with us since 2007. As it nears a refresh, the company built a limited run of 200 special M3 coupe Lime Rock Park Edition cars to celebrate the racetrack in Connecticut. Skip Barber, owner of Lime Rock, and BMW collaborated on the vehicle, which will only come in what BMW calls fire orange.
