THIS IS A REPRODUCTION OF A GM 4-WAY POWER BUCKET SEAT CONTROL HARNESS CONNECTOR RETAINER. WHAT THIS PART DOES IS IT HOLDS THE 4-WAY CONTROL HARNESS WIRE CONNECTOR IN PLACE SO IT DOESN’T WIGGLE LOOSE OVER TIME. THIS WAS PART OF EVERY 4-WAY POWER BUCKET SEAT TRACK GM CAR 66-72; BUT IT IS THE MOST MISPLACED SEAT TRACK ITEM! FOR SOME REASON IT IS ALWAYS DISCARDED OR LEFT ON THE SEAT.

EVERY GM CAR 66-72 HAS THE SAME BUCKET SEAT FRAME. (CHEVROLET, CADILLAC, BUICK, OLDS, PONTIAC) IT WILL HAVE A RECTANGULAR HOLE IN EACH SIDE OF THE SEAT FRAME RIGHT WHERE THE CONTROL GETS MOUNTED. THEY DID THIS EVEN IF THE CAR DIDN’T HAVE POWER SEATS. THIS BRACKET GETS SCREWED FAST TO THE SEAT FRAME DIRECTLY OVER THAT OPENING ON THE INSIDE. (KIND OF LIKE A STOP FOR THE CONTROL) THEN WHEN YOU MOUNT THE CHROME CONTROL SWITCH INTO YOUR LOWER SIDE APRON; THIS METAL RETAINER PIECE IS TIGHT AGAINST THE HARNESS CONNECTOR BACK. THUS KEEPING IT SECURE! PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS PIECE IS NOT VISIBLE ONCE INSTALLED.

*THE PICTURES SHOW THE ORIGINAL GM RETAINER WITH THE RED DOT ON IT. THIS IS FOR COMPARISON PURPOSES ONLY. THIS LISTING IS FOR (1) ONE REPRODUCTION ONLY.

*FITS ALL GM CARS WITH BUCKET SEATS. (66-72)

It’s Aston Martin’s first four-door car and will cost around £150,000 when sales start in early 2010. No, because Aston Martin admits the rear seats are only suitable for children, or adults on shorter journeys.

Royal ride--Aston Martin DB6 Volante

Fri, 29 Apr 2011

We promise this will be the only mention of the royal wedding you'll see on autoweek.com, but we just can't resist a beautiful car. Prince William and Catherine Middleton, newly the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, drove away from their humble nuptials in an Aston Martin DB6 Volante with the top down, license plate reading "JU5T WED." Ignore the royals. Check out this car.
