Tue, 28 May 2013BMW has been hyping its futuristic i lineup for years now, but the long lead time doesn't mean that the highly efficient, carbon-fiber-based vehicles are vaporware. Earlier this month, we test drove pre-production versions of the i3 and i8, and last week, Autoweek reader Frank Cogliano spied the former vehicle on the road. Porsche Panamera and Cayenne recalled for turbo issues
Wed, 18 Jul 2012Porsche is recalling certain 2011 and 2012 Panamera Turbo and Turbo S sedans and the Cayenne Turbo for a problem with the turbine wheel of the turbocharger. A summary of the problem on the NHTSA site states that the wheel might fracture because of a casting defect. If that occurs, vehicle performance will be decreased and the turbine shaft might fracture, leading to more expensive repairs.
Say Chevrolet--not Chevy--GM tells employees
Thu, 10 Jun 2010From racetracks in the heartland to the iconic strains of “American Pie,” one word--Chevy--has transcended class and culture and helped raise the bow-tie brand to the lofty status as one of the most recognized in the world. An internal memo distributed this week directs workers to use the official name in all communications, from official duties to simple conversations.
