And it’s a good move by Citroen to get the new DS5 front and centre at the Top Gear Live shows – which will be at the NEC in Birmingham and the ExCel in London in November – to prove to those who love cars just how good the DS5 is. The Extrem concept was designed at Nissan Design Center (NDA) in San Diego, California, in collaboration with Brazilian designers but much of the creative time was spent in Sao Paolo. "We call it Baby Beast," said Robert Bauer, Senior Design Manager for the project at NDA.

Mitsubishi is considering a "different direction" for its rally-inspired, all-wheel-drive sport sedan as it prepares to launch eight electric or plug-in hybrid vehicles globally by 2015. The plan is fueled in part by a need to meet tougher global fuel economy and emissions regulations.
