| Grade A cowhide backhand and gauntlet with perforated fourchettes. Supple abrasion-resistant kangaroo skin palm for ultimate in feel and protection. Knox SPS® protectors on the palm help to protect leather from gripping pavement. Superfabric® material in the fingers, thumb and over the ulna bone is abrasion-resistant. Molded TPU knuckle protector has built-in flex capabilities, for added comfort. Dual molded TPU wrist protectors. Inside of the glove is lined with Kevlar® for added abrasion protection. Soft padding on outside of the glove with two layers of leather for added protection. Dual gauntlet with a 360º full circumference wrist closure strap. Pre-curved palm and fingers. Pinky and ring fingers have elastic stitching, forming a fatigue-reducing pre-curve. Palm is reinforced with digital leather to help resist wear. Double reinforced fingertips on the pointer and middle finger. Outer seam stitched palm and fingers maximize glove comfort and function. CE-approved. |

THE AA's longest-serving patrolman is retiring after 1.4 million miles and almost 50 years on the road. Jim Haggart joined the AA in Glasgow in August 1966 as a 16-year-old cadet after spotting the opportunity in a newspaper advert. The 64-year-old has helped an estimated 87,000 motorists with car trouble - between 1,500 and 2,000 a year - around the west of Scotland, rescuing animals, young children and even babies that have been accidentally locked in vehicles.

You’ve got to feel for Scandinavian car makers Saab and Volvo. Both swallowed up by big US car makers, and both now being abandoned in a vulnerable position after years of integrating their once independent products in to their parents infrastructure, they must wake up every day wondering if this is the day it all goes bang. Ford is simply trying (increasingly desperately) to off-load Volvo, but GM, which is in a much more precarious position than Ford, has now abandoned its Swedish child in a desperate attempt to appease Congress and survive.
