98% fear UK road safety not improving

Research conducted for the latest issue of the Auto Trader Owner’s Guide suggests that a staggering 98% of British motorists fear that the government is failing to improve safety on UK roads. Of the 3,000 drivers surveyed for the quarterly publication, 77% also want theory and practical driving skills to be taught in schools, while 60% are convinced the coming fixed penalty fines for careless driving will do nothing to benefit safety. Peugeot RC Z will be built

After claims about gauging public reaction, and teasing us with drives in a concept car that felt production-ready, the French manufacturer has done the decent thing and decided to build the RC Z. The production model will be shown at the 2009 Frankfurt show, two years after the concept was first unveiled.

Infiniti reveals hood of the JX crossover

The slow reveal of the Infiniti JX crossover ahead of its debuts at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance in August and the Los Angeles auto show in November continued on Thursday with a photo showing the seven-seat crossover's hood and grille. Infiniti plans to put the JX on sale in early 2012. The crossover will be built at Nissan's plant in Smyrna, Tenn., and will share its platform with the Nissan Altima, Maxima and Murano.
