Thu, 24 Dec 2009Sangyup Lee, designer of the acclaimed Chevrolet Camaro, has recently resigned from General Motors to accept a position as Chief Designer of Exterior at the Volkswagen/Audi Advanced studio in California. Lee is scheduled to begin work mid-January 2010, reporting to Jens Manske who was appointed Executive Director earlier this year. New tech suggests windowless cars are on the horizon

Now an aerospace company has created the technology that could hold the key to turning the dream into a reality. Spike Aerospace's upcoming S-512 supersonic business class jet replaces its windows with high-definition screens displaying footage of the panoramic views streamed live from micro cameras on its fuselage as tests have unsurprisingly shown that passengers are a little uneasy about not being able to see outside.

Sergio Scaglietti, famous for creating some of the most beautiful and valuable cars in the world, passed away earlier this week at the age of 91, in his home town of Modena, Italy. The name Scaglietti is synonymous with Ferrari, the moniker still being carried on the 612 flagship model, and it is a pairing that runs deeper than crossbranding and business.
