Condition:New Part Brand:MONOGRAM MAXWELL

A new flat glass Monogram headlamp lenses in their original box that I got at an auction of vintage car parts.

The lens is marked "Monogram, Maxwell, Light Distributor, 8 x 6 15/16, Monogram Lens Company, New York City, Pat Pend, Designed For 21 C.P. Mazda Lamps at Focus, Tilt Beam One Ft. Down at 25 Ft."  This is 8" in diameter with a prism that is 6 15/16" in diameter.  There is a "notch" at 180 degrees.

I can't find any match for this in my old headlight catalogs, so I don't know what models/years Maxwell this is for.  Maxwell automobiles were manufactured from 1904 to about 1925, when Maxwell merged into Chrysler.

The lens has only a few small scratches. There are no chips or stains that would indicate that this was ever used and I believe that this is new but with some shelf wear.

Singapore Grand Prix (2014) RESULT

Sun, 21 Sep 2014

Singapore Grand Prix (2014) RESULT Qualifying for today’s Singapore Grand Prix was a close fought affair, with not much more than half a second separating the top nine, and just seven thousands of a second splitting pole and second. So will Mercedes be able to pull-off another one-two win at Sepang? Actually, no, they couldn’t, but that’s because Nico Rosberg had electrical problems before the start and had to join the race from the pit lane, and ended up retiring as the electrical gremlins proved terminal.

Mercedes-Benz hooks up with Europcar for its courtesy cars

Wed, 02 Nov 2011

Mercedes partner with Europcar for courtesy cars Providing courtesy cars for customers is something of a pain for car makers. Customers expect a courtesy car when they come in for repair or service or after an accident, and that’s not easy to manage. So car makers partner with car hire firms to make the whole thing work and, usually, know they can put a customer in a courtesy car whenever it’s needed.

Consulatation on 20mph speed limit

Tue, 22 Oct 2013

BIRMINGHAM City Council has launched a public consultation on plans which could see around 90% of roads in the city given a 20mph speed limit. The authority believes the "20 is Plenty" scheme, costing around £7 million, would make residential streets safer and transport networks more sustainable. Key routes would keep higher speed limits under the long-term proposals, but public feedback is also being sought on whether the 20mph scheme should also be considered for busy high street shopping areas, around schools, leisure facilities, hospitals and public transport interchanges.
