New Audi RS4 Avant (2012 / 2013) caught on video
Thu, 22 Sep 20112012 / 2013 Audi RS4 Avant If you want something that’s very quick but still every day practical; a car non petrolheads will just think is another estate, but those in the know realise is something special, you could do a lot worse than the new Audi RS4 Avant. Audi are out playing at the Nurburgring with the new RS4 Avant, which we expect to arrive in Spring 2012 at the Geneva Motor show. It’s clear from the video that the RS4 Avant gets wider front and rear tracks, the de rigueur set of blistered wheel arches, big brakes, big alloys and the trademark oval tail pipes.
Seat Leon and Altea facelifts (2009) first photos
Mon, 09 Feb 2009By Ben Whitworth First Official Pictures 09 February 2009 12:36 Seat has given its Altea and Leon ranges a neat visual facelift, complemented by the introduction of new common rail diesel engines and enhanced levels of luxury and safety kit. The new-look models will make their debut at the Geneva motorshow in early March, alongside the new Exeo estate and a yet-to-be-seen Ecomotive concept. According to Seat, the new-look Altea and Leon families adopt Seat’s ‘Arrow Design’ look introduced on the Ibiza by Seat design boss and ex-Lamborghini designer Luc Donckerwolke to create a more consistent visual look to the Spanish range.
Video: Chris Bangle delivers “Empowerment: Design without Designers” talk at Creative Mornings/London
Wed, 09 Nov 2011Chris Bangle – the undisputed front man of car design – needs little introduction, so the prospect of the former BMW Design Director and now founder of Chris Bangle Associates giving a talk in our home town of London was too good to pass up. His presentation (which you can watch in full in the video to the left) touched on his time at BMW, but was more focused on the idea of empowering others to create: "design without you in the middle", as Bangle says. From the story of the co-creation of the staircase in his Italian studio to the idea of encouraging people to think about their culture when designing, his philosophies transcend disciplines.
