The upcoming baby Bimmer will sport all twin-scroll turbocharged four-cylinder engines burning either gasoline or diesel, hauling around a car that's grown in every dimension except height. Volkswagen has revealed the 2010 VW Touareg It’s not too hard to work out we’re coming up to one of the major motor shows on the calendar. The reveals are starting to speed up – this time with the Volkswagen Touareg in it’s new clothes. But it’s not just new clothes the Touareg is wearing, there’s lots more going on under the skin as well. A bit longer than the original, the 2010/2011 Touareg has had a major visual overhaul.

Breakeryard designs 'Woman-Proof' car

Breakeryard, the UK's network of national breakers, has designed a garish pink ‘Woman-Proof' concept car with the aim of making parking easier for ‘non-confident' female drivers. In an exercise with its tongue firmly in its cheek Breakeryard has not only designed, but also commissioned some mock-ups of a car to combat problems highlighted in a survey of 1,421 female drivers. ‘Peripheral visibility' was identified as a problem by 44 percent of respondents, so the concept has a bubble-top design to combat this, which would be framed by a reinforced structure for safety purposes.
