Condition:New other (see details) Brand:Garmin Manufacturer Part Number:010-00751-01

This unused Garmin GPSmap 6212 is new in an open box. After buying the unit I decided it is too large and "overkill" for the boat I would have installed it in. I bought it from a authorized Garmin dealer here in the Corpus Christi area. Here is a chance to have a new full featured model at a reasonable price. All of the networking and expansion features are part of this unit. This unit includes the NEMA2000 GPS antenna Garmin GPS19X, a very nice high resolution receiver, which is an extra value. With the addition of a GSD22, found here on eBay for around $200, the unit operates with a fully functioning sonar. The features are too numerous to list here, but the complete specs are available on the Garmin web site. I will be glad to answer any questions. All but the first picture are actual pictures of the unit for sale. Thank you for viewing this auction. Good Luck!

Motortrend examines making of Kia’s Track’ster concept

Fri, 10 Feb 2012

Motortrend has included a comprehensive step-by-step guide exploring the process through which Kia built its Track'ster concept car in its April edition. The study, complete with a detailed photo timeline, tracks the progress of the concept vehicle from the original idea right the way through to the car's unveiling at the Chicago Auto Show. The Track'ster was originally pitched as a turbo four-cylinder all-wheel-drive sports car and is based on the production version of the Kia Soul, which was the company's second-best-selling vehicle of 2011.

Saturn has interested buyers, GM says

Fri, 06 Mar 2009

Saturn is attracting interest from a "few" parties that might want to acquire the brand, a General Motors spokesman said Thursday. GM has hired Steve Girsky, formerly senior auto analyst for Morgan Stanley, to help advise on any possible Saturn deals. Saturn spokesman Steve Janisse said, "There is interest from investors in doing a spinoff, and there are other entities interested in just buying it." He said he does not know whether the interested parties are other automakers.

Public service announcement: Cars and shaving don't mix

Mon, 02 May 2011

Consider this a cautionary tale: Take care of your personal grooming before you get behind the wheel. A Florida woman caused a two-vehicle wreck because she was shaving her bikini line rather than watching the road when she plowed into the back of a pickup truck at 45 mph. As if texting while driving wasn't perilous enough.
