Expected to make its public debut at the forthcoming Los Angeles Motor Show, the tin-top version of Jaguar compact sports model promises to be as equally dramatic in the metal as its convertible cousin. Ford Transit van gets five-cylinder turbodiesel
Mon, 10 Dec 2012The full-size Ford Transit van that replaces the E-series Econoline in late 2013 will have a turbocharged five-cylinder diesel in its powertrain lineup. Today Ford uses the 3.2-liter engine in the Ranger pickup sold in international markets. The engine, which wears Ford's Power Stroke marketing name for diesel engines, is built in South Africa and will be exported to the Transit assembly plant near Kansas City, Mo.
Chrysler recalls Charger police vehicles
Mon, 13 Feb 2012Chrysler is recalling almost 10,000 Dodge Charger police cars from the 2011 and 2012 model years. The affected vehicles have a faulty bulb-harness connector that could overheat, causing the low beams to fail. Certain vehicles could also lose their antilock brakes or stability control if the power-distribution center overheats.
