Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE (2010) Review & Road Test
Sun, 25 Apr 2010We Road Test the 2010 Range Rover Sport – on and off road It’s a remarkable 40 years this year since Land Rover introduced the world to its first luxury 4×4 – the Range Rover – and changed the car landscape forever. And despite many pretenders to its throne the Range Rover is still the ultimate SUV, and probably the only luxury 4×4 that is as at home in a field as it is on the Kings Road. Nissan LEAF: UK prices
Mon, 17 May 2010The Nissan LEAF EV will sell at £21,350 in the UK after subsidies are taken in to account Agree with their focus – some would say obsession - or not, you can’t help but admire Nissan’s intentions to make the electric car a mainstream reality. It’s a big commitment and a bold move which could actually make or break Nissan in the coming years, in the same way as the hybrid obsession at Lexus. But putting aside the business sense of a headlong tilt in to electric cars, we have to admit that the headline price for the Nissan LEAF in the UK – just announced as £23,350 (after taking in to account Government incentives) – is a very competitive price point.
Nissan LEAF: First UK deliveries
Mon, 21 Mar 2011Mark Goodier gets the first Nissan LEAF delivered in the UK It’s taken a while, but Nissan has finally got the Nissan LEAF on the road in the UK, with the first two customers picking up their cars this morning. Nissan dealers Glyn Hopkin in Waltham Abbey had a pair of nice, shiny, black Nissan LEAFs all prepped and ready to go this morning to the first two UK customers – DJ Mark Goodier and electronics engineer Richard Todd. Mark Goodier – once a Radio 1 key player but now out to pasture at Smooth FM – was the first to drive off in his LEAF, subsequently commenting on Twitter that “…I had a great smooth drive into London today”.
