Shake-up at Tesla; a dozen UK orders

It’s now on its fourth CEO in 12 months, as founder Elon Musk takes over from Ze’ev Drori. In an announcement on the chief exec’s blog, Tesla Motors said it would be ‘cash-flow positive’ within six to nine months – but only by increasing production and cutting operating costs.

Peugeot Peugeot has proved that three-figure fuel economy figures for petrol engines might not be too far from becoming a reality, as its new 308 has set what it claims is a record of 99.1mpg. The 2014 European Car of the Year, powered by a 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol Puretech engine, covered 1,124.7 miles on just one tank of fuel when tested on a track in Spain. Volvo S80 gets a nip & tuck for 2009

The Volvo S80 is now three years old, and Volvo has decided to spruce it up a bit for the current year. Volvo has played around with the nose and body on the S80, to give a lower, wider perspective. The new nose incorporates details similar to the XC60, declaring Volvo’s intention of a family theme.
