Tow Ready 119191 ModuLite HD Plus Protector w/Integrated Circuit & Overload Protection Trailer Light Power Module & Installation Kit

Hitching up your late-model luxury vehicle and hitting the road with trailer in tow sounds like a dream. But once you start splicing and dicing that spaghetti bowl of wiring, your open-road dream can quickly turn into a Chef Boyardee nightmare. With the Tow Ready ModuLite HD Plus Protector, you can bridge the circuit-to-circuit connection with ease and save the pasta for lunch.

Tow Ready's most advanced trailer light converter, the ModuLite HD Plus Protector is perfect for hard-to-wire vehicles. It allows you to hitch up a complicated 2 or 3-wire vehicle harness to a simple 1 or 2-wire trailer circuit. And, it makes sure the amps stay steady all the way through. That way, your trailer lights stay bright, your circuits never overload and your battery stays juiced.

Rated to 4.2 amps for turn-signal/brake-light circuits and a whopping 7.5 amps for the taillight circuit, the ModuLite HD Plus boasts the heavy-duty circuitry you need. And, the integrated short-circuit and overload feature protects itself and your vehicle from wiring mishaps. What's more, Tow Ready backs your ModuLite HD Plus Protector with a 1-year warranty.

Product Overview:

The unit is rated for up to 4.2 amps for Turns/Stops circuits and 7.5 amps for the Taillight circuit

Universal ModuLite designed to be used on most vehicles plus the hard to wire vehicles

Draws power directly from the vehicle battery and uses less than 5mA of the vehicle circuit for sensing to turn the trailer functions on and off

Will work with either LED/Incandescent bulbs (vehicle & trailer)

Has integrated re-settable Short Circuit and Overload protection, to safeguard itself and the tow vehicle from shorts and installation wiring mishaps

Designed not to send feedback thru the vehicle circuits

The trailer brakes will override the hazard lamps when the brake is activated

Advanced circuitry works in all standard applications as well as vehicles with ST and STT pulse width modulation (PWM) systems

Interprets/decodes multiplex signal inputs (i.e. Audi, BMW, Mercedes and VW)

Will not work with vehicles with low-side switch
[Low Side Switching: Common "High Side" systems switch 12 volts between the vehicle's battery and signal bulb. "Low Side" switching systems have 12 volts at the bulb at all times and ground is switched to activate the signal.]

Can be used on a 2 wire or 3 wire system

All solid-state components in potted encapsulation

Includes integrated protective cover

Canadian Grand Prix: Rosberg beats Hamilton to pole for another Mercedes front row

Sat, 07 Jun 2014

Rosberg (pictured) takes pole for Mercedes in 2014 Canadian Grand Prix After the shenanigans at Monaco – with Lewis Hamilton convinced Nico Rosberg had wrecked his chance of pole position – Hamilton had something to prove in qualifying for the 2014 Canadian Grand Prix in Montreal. But he failed – just. Despite the Montreal island circuit considered to suit Hamilton’s style more than Rosberg’s, it was the German who put in the quickest lap and will start in pole position for tomorrow’s race.
