Russo-Baltique Impression

Wed, 03 May 2006

One hundred years since its conception, the Russo-Baltique brand has been resurrected for a show car at Villa d'Este Concours d'Elegance. Once the maker of cars for Russia's Royal Court, the country's Revolution suspended Russo-Baltique's activities after the First World War, only restored in 2003 when work on the new Impression began. The car aims to demonstrate a high level of quality, using materials such as Zebrano, an African wood, to trim the interior.

2014 Hyundai Equus Ultimate: Race Organizer Review

Thu, 10 Apr 2014

Welcome back to the Race Organizer Review series, in which I plunge new cars into the weird and demanding world of a traveling race official with the 24 Hours of LeMons road-racing series. A LeMons Race Organizer's ride must be able to haul large amounts of gear between airport, hotel, and track, while impressing the jaded and finicky racers in the paddock. So far, we've seen the Mini Cooper S Paceman in California, the Mitsubishi Lancer GT in Texas, the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution in Wisconsin, and the Chevrolet SS in Texas, and a couple of weeks ago your Race Organizer brought the 2014 Hyundai Equus Ultimate to Race Sonoma aka Sears Point in the upscale wine country of Northern California.

Jaguar C-X16 gets a name today (and it won’t be Jaguar XE)

Wed, 04 Apr 2012

The Jaguar C-X16 gets a production name today Jaguar will reveal the name for the C-X16 to day at the New York Auto Show  - and it won’t be XE - signalling the way forward for Jaguar nomenclature. Update: It’s the Jaguar F-Type! Last week Jaguar told us they had some exciting news to reveal at the New York Motor Show and, although we’d hope for a nice new Jaguar reveal, it looks like the news will be the production name for the Jaguar C-X16 and the news it will arrive in showrooms in 2013 first of all as a roadster.
