First, Second and Third gear are much, much taller.

It's really a different bike.

The 27 tooth really shines at cruise in 5th gear.

At 50 mph your rpms drop by 986

At 55 mph your rpms drop by 1085

At 60 mph your rpms drop by 1183

At 65 mph your rpms drop by 1282

At 70 mph your rpms drop by 1381

At 75 mph your rpms drop by 1480

I have the 15/30 tooth combo on my wifes' 2006 Rebel

and she loves it! The 33t to 27t swap will achieve even

better results than the 15/30 combo, but saves you

$$$ by not having to buy the front sprocket.

You will need to purchase a 520 chain masterlink clip

set available on eBay and other retailers for $5-$10.

It makes the bike into a "big" bike, by dramatically extending

the gear ranges, lowering the rpm's and providing longer range.

Some torque is lost, as there is no such thing as a free lunch, you

may want to downshift at cruise from 5th to 4th, say if you were

heading into a strong wind or climbing a steep grade.

For those riders who suffer from "tingle in your fingers or hands"

I can't promise this will remove that 100%, but it should help.

The benefits far out weigh the occasional downshift, etc. in that

your bike will be calmer, less buzzy, have less engine and chain

wear and increase your mpg, extending your range.

The new BMW M3 GTS - more video On Wednesday we reported on the reveal of the BMW M3 GTS, a track-focused, stripped-out and lightweight BMW M3. It will deliver at least 450bhp from its 4.4 litre V8, all of which will be driven through the rear wheels by a 7-speed M Dual Clutch Transmission (M-DCT). Apart from the obvious orange paint job, the M3 GTS gets a very seventies looking rear wing bolted to the boot.

Audi has revealed a bold TT crossover SUV at the Beijing Motor Show – and the offroad concept looks so complete and production-intent, we wouldn’t bet against this concept becoming a showroom reality sooner than we think. Audi’s technical boss Dr. Ulrich Hackenberg admitted at the big China show that the TT offroad concept was “a glimpse of how we might imagine a new model in a future TT family”, and that last word is crucial: this is the first clear sign that the TT is going to turn from a single model into a range of cars in its own right.
