We ran a story back in March heralding the arrival of the SEAT LEon Cupra R to the UK and bemoaning the fact that it had taken SEAT six months from showing the Cupra R in Frankfurt to actually getting their act to the UK. Ferrari has revealed a one-off version of the 599 commissioned by New York-based art collector and property developer Peter Kalikow. Called the Superamerica 45, the new open-top car was created to commemorate the 45th anniversary of Kalikow's first Ferrari purchase, a secondhand 400 Superamerica convertible. It will go on public display for the first time at this weekend's Concorso d'Eleganza Villa D'Este on the shores of Lake Como in Italy.

In the great scheme of things, a facelift for the Renault Megane is hardly the most exciting news to come out of the Frankfurt Motor Show, but then this is 'Germany's show' and the Megane is a decidedly French car. But with the arrival of the new Clio and the Captur, the Megane was looking a little out of place in the Renault stable. So the facelift simply brings the Megane into line.
