By Tim Pollard First Official Pictures 17 December 2008 14:30 Canadian designer Martin Uhlarik penned Nissan’s sleigh, which dispenses with reindeer altogether and can be used instead in conjunction with a rather faster steed, a Nissan GT-R. It’s quickly apparent that Nissan’s SC01 sledge will have a much greater load capacity than rival designs – and we’d certainly pull over fast if we saw this in our rear-view mirrors. Uhlarik is project design leader at Nissan’s Paddington design centre in London and was senior exterior designer on the Qashqai+2 and NV200 concept.

Honda recalls Civic hybrids for converter failure

Honda is recalling 36,656 of its 2006- and 2007-model-year Civic hybrids to replace the DC-to-DC convertor. The converter may fail and cause the engine to stall and the headlamps to malfunction. The DC-to-DC converter is part of the Integrated Motor Assist hybrid-control system, according to Honda.

The McLaren MP4-12C development video below Two months ago McLaren revealed their new supercar – the McLaren MP4-12C. Beyond some disappointment that the styling was a little generic, the praise for the potential of the new Ferrari-busting McLaren has been pretty much universal. We’re more inclined to see the styling as ‘Classic Supercar’ and non-dating, but these things are entirely subjective.
