Apparently extinct elsewhere since 2006, here's a brand new Cupholder Console Lid Assembly finished in original Jaguar BLACK/WARM CHARCOAL Connolly leather, Trim Code - "LEG" [check your code within large info decal on the driver's door jam].
More specifically, Pauls' own trim shop has taken a new lid from Jaguar in a less popular color, and simply retrimmed it in authentic Warm Charcoal [basically same as Black] leather. This lid features a contrasting cupholder button, but if the buyer prefers to use their original button we'll be glad to explain how to make the simple switch.
WARM CHARCOAL was extensively used by Jaguar from 1994 to 2003 in their XJ8, XJ6, XK8, XKR and Vanden Plas models.
Original new Jaguar cupholder console lids fail over time for any number of reasons - broken pivots where the cupholder door opens, worn-out leather, worn mechanism where the cupholder door snaps open like a mousetrap, and broken front corner edges of the plastic liner mounted on the bottom [see example in picture #3] ....This new console lid therefore enables all such problems to be solved with one purchase!
Given that new lids are now virtually extinct, here's a chance to grab one as insurance even your need appears not to be immediate....

Car production up again in June
Thu, 24 Jul 2014THE NUMBER OF CARS produced in the UK rose last month. A total of 136,419 vehicles were manufactured in June 2014 - a 3.7% rise on the figure for the same month last year, the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) said. The latest figures took the year-so-far total to 791,314 - a 3.5% increase on the January-June 2013 figure.
