Nissan Juke-R - £438k of funky urban crossover
The rather bonkers Nissan Juke R will be available worldwide – in very limited numbers – at a very limiting price – £438,000. The Nissan Juke -R has kept us in stories since lat year when Nissan first revealed the funky compact crossover with the heart of a GT-R. From being merely a one-off (well, it was actually a two-off) project to show just what Nissan could make the little Juke do, it’s grown in to a proper little PR machine for Nissan.

A Top Gear fan has completed the ultimate motor challenge - building a £5 million supercar using scrap and spare parts. Amateur mechanic Jacek Mazur, 48, made his own replica McLaren F1 for just £20,000 - 250 times cheaper than the real thing. He even paid tribute to his favourite TV show by building a tiny rear seat for Top Gear co-host Richard Hammond.

A scale model of the 1961 Ford Gyron concept has sold at auction for $40,000, around four times its estimate. The space-age concept car – designed by Alex Tremulis, McKinley Thompson, Syd Mead, Bill Dayton, John Najjar, and Elwood Engel – debuted in 1961 at the New York International Auto Show and featured two wheels mounted along the car's centerline, usung a gyroscope for stability. The full-size model – which relied on stabilizing wheels instead of a gyroscope – also predicted the development of satellite navigation systems, car phones and infrared sensing.
