2014 Nissan Qashqai teased again – and almost revealed

Mon, 04 Nov 2013

2014 Nissan Qashqai teased again – and almost revealed Nissan has been bust teasing the 2014 Qashqai ahead of its reveal later this week, and today we get the latest tease which actuallt reveals the front end. The last tease only managed to show us the new Qashqai under a dust sheet in a tunnel, but this time we get a head-on view of the Qashqai to give us a few clues about its new look. The bonnet has more flowing lines than before which continue down in to the chrome element of the grill which, although similar in shape, is more integrated than before with slimmer headlights with integrated, v-shaped running lights.

Citroën invites design ideas via Facebook

Wed, 04 Apr 2012

Citroën has launched a Facebook app calling for users to select design features for what it calls a special edition car, the first crowdsourced car in the UK. Rather than the genuinely design-led competitions we've seen recently from Renault (Twizy) and Citroën's own DS3, ‘You Like It, We Make It', offers six configurations such as exterior and interior color scheme, technology options like Bluetooth and SatNav, alloys, and the number of doors the vehicle has. The Citroeën C1 Connexion special edition will be kitted out with the most popular ideas and those participating via the app will be in with a chance of winning the car when it goes on sale later in the year.

Renault to unveil Alpine-branded concept car at Monaco GP

Tue, 22 May 2012

Renault is set to unveil an Alpine-branded concept car at this weekend's Monaco Grand Prix. The A110-50 – so named to commemorate the fiftieth anniversary of the oh-so-pretty A110 rally car – is clearly a development of the 2010 DeZir concept car although with only one leaked image to analyze, it's difficult to know by what amount it has changed. Clearly it has been subjected to the addition of a myriad of additional details, surfaces, inlets, outlets and various pieces of racing addenda however that, on the little evidence we have, appear to have added drama to the detriment of the refreshingly non-aggressive nature of the DeZir.
