We did half expect another tease for the 2014 Range Rover Sport before now, especially after the first video tease for Land Rover’s latest Sport Rangie came just two days after LR started the tease. But in the meantime – just after the first video tease for the new RRS – we had proper leaked photos of the new Range Rover Sport taken at a window tinters in New York as the brand new Range Rover Sport got prepared for its New York outing.

But what’s truly astonishing about this is that he ‘achieved’ the 45-point tally in just nine months, between 1 October 2012 and 20 June 2013 – and what’s more, he’s apparently still driving. Auto Motor Und Sport has been talking to SLS designer Hartmut Sinkwitz – who was responisble for the Smart (sublime to the ridiculous springs to mind) – who says that although it is important to pay homage to the Gullwing Mercedes of the ’50s – the inspiration for the new Mercedes SLS – it was vital that the SLS should be a modern car in every respect.
