Supercars at the Wilton House: Video

Every August since 2009, the Wilton House, a countryside estate in England that dates back to 871 A.D., hosts a spectacular array of vehicles to raise money for charity. Supercars at the Wilton House last year welcomed more than 10,000 guests to the 21-acre grounds to observe some of the most desirable automotive works ever created. The Bentley Continental Shooting Brake by Carrozzeria A week or two back we got the sniff that Italian Coachbuilders Carrozzeria Touring Superleggera where planning on building a limited run car based on the Bentley Continental. The rumours were vague – even from Carrozzeria who simply stated “Inspired by the success and the extraordinary characteristics of Bentley automobiles, Carrozzeria Touring Superleggera of Milan, with the support of Bentley Motors Limited, developed and built a fascinating new coach built Bentley, faithful to its long tradition of Italian coach building.” Which told us not a whole lot. But we now know that what Carrazzeria are planning is a Bentley Continental Shooting Brake – effectively a Bentley Continental GT Estate.

1931 Marmon Sixteen convertible is the top seller at Hershey auction

A 1931 Marmon Sixteen Convertible Coupe, one of only 400 Marmon Sixteens built, sold for $517,000 at RM Auction's Vintage Motor Cars of Hershey event on Oct. 8. The Marmon Sixteen was the auction's top-selling car.
