Stabilize coil current and prolong point life with Mallory ballast resistors. Computer-wound to ensure resistance value. Premium ceramic bodies provide maximum durability and superior heat transfer. Recommended when a new coil is installed.Mallory Unilite distributors include self-contained modules that require a ballast resistor, loom resistance wire, or internally resisted coil (ex. when using HyFire CD Ignitions). Using a heavy duty porcelain resistor and threaded terminal connectors, this resistor is rated at 200 watts and 0.75 (cold) – 1.5 (hot) ohms.

NOTE: The purpose of an ignition ballast resistor between the ignition switch (12V) and the ignition coil positive terminal is to restrict current flow through the ignition coil. Failure to use an ignition ballast resistor will eventually destroy the ignition module. Installing an ignition ballast resistor has no effect on the performance of the ignition system. (ex. w/HyFire CD Ignitions)

Thu, 20 Oct 2011Lexus CT 200h F Sport arrives in the UK It’s been a whole year since the Lexus CT 200h F-Sport hoved in to view with its add-on sporty bits and bobs, and now it’s finally arrived in the UK. In case you didn’t read the headline properly – or the original story – the CT 200h F-Sport isn’t a fire-breathing ‘F’ version of the Lexus take on the Prius, but is instead a ‘sportified’ version, with add on bits and a tweaked suspension. But despite the lack of extra horses, the CT 200h F-Sport does go part of the way to addressing the problems of the CT 200h.

According to Aston Martin, the Cygnet Launch Edition White and Cygnet Launch Edition Black are being built to ‘exemplify the highly bespoke nature of this unique car.’ Are we alone in spotting the irony of building a run of identical vehicles to highlight the customisable nature of the Cygnet? The Cygnet Launch Edition White is supposed to be about serenity, with Snow White paint, white diamond-turned alloy wheels, and white Aston badges on the outside, and white leather on the inside.
