And one Ferrari client has spent a repute £2.5 million to create a one-off F12 – the Ferrari F12 TRS – twice the price of LaFerrari. Still obviously a Ferrari F12, the F12 TRS gets a pretty dramatic makeover, inspired by the 1967 Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa, from Ferrari Special Projects, design chief Flavio Manzoni and the Ferrari Style Centre.

Which makes a whole heap of sense. Apart from in France it’s always been then case that the bigger the French car the poorer its sales are, and the poor old 607 hasn’t exactly set the world alight with its huge sale.

On Monday, we got the first news of the Peugeot Onyx Supercar concept that is heading for the 2012 Paris Motor show and designed to show that Peugeot are a long way from down and out. The first news of the Onyx was a teaser photo of it in Peugeot’s Facebook page, but a bit of digging a round on French cars sites yielded some additional information – and the Onyx name – and we subsequently updated that story with more photos of the Onyx.
