Yes, it’s OTT and designed for the Playstation generation rather than people past the first flush of youth, but it brings a huge grin to my face every time I drive one. Porsche Panamera LWB Planned Now Porsche is just a Volkswagen company, it has to look to yield value across its range. It also has to contribute to keeping emissions in check across its performance cars to keep the average CO2 in check. Which explains not just the Cayenne Hybrid, but our story yesterday that the Porsche Panamera Hybrid will bow in at Geneva and the news that Porsche will introduce hybrid cars across its range.

NEVS completes Saab purchase

National Electric Vehicle Sweden AB (NEVS) has completed the purchase of the assets of Saab, but can’t use the Griffin logo. It looks like the Chinese, Japanese, Swedish Consortium NEVS has finally completed the process of acquiring the assets of bankrupt Saab, but it hasn’t quite got all it wanted. We reported last week that the process of acquiring Saab had been delayed as there were still issues over the rights to the Saab log, a logo owned by Scania and Saab Aerospace.
