VW bring Golf GTI and Polo Concepts to Wörthersee

VW has brought the Golf GTI & Polo Worthesee Concepts to the Worthersee Tour in Austria The Wörthersee Tour is in full swing in Austria, and as we told you yesterday Audi has brought along the Audi Q5 Wörthersee Concept to show off, along with a handful of its latest models. But this is a VW as well as Audi show, so Volkswagen has gone one better and brought along a pair of  Concept Cars – The VW Golf GTI Wörthersee  Concept and the VW Polo Wörthersee  Concept. The Golf GTI Concept, based on the new VW Golf GTI, comes in a dark Firespark Red and a set of mean looking black alloys.

This is the new second-gen Hyundai i10. Aimed directly at the VW Up, Hyundai’s new city car will take the fight to Volkswagen armed with a roomier cabin and trickle-down luxury car gadgets, like automatic climate control, a heated leather steering wheel, and cruise control. Could the McLaren P13 get a Honda engine?

The McLaren P13 is due to arrive in 2015 and we’re expecting it to get a de-tuned version of the 3.8 litre V8 already found in the 12C (pictured above) and P1, and be priced to take on the almost empty sector (in terms of price) the Porsche 911 Turbo occupies - somewhere around £125k. It’s a sensible plan to fill a potentially lucrative sector of the supercar market with a mid-engined, rear wheel drive ‘baby’ supercar with performance of around 3.8 seconds to 60mph and stunning handling. It should give the 911 Turbo a run for its money.
