New Audi S6, S7, S8 and RS6 to get Bentley V8

The 2012 Audi S8 will get power from a Bentley V8 We reported back in October that Bentley and Audi were working on a new V8 that would power future models from both marques, and we asked if that would mean the end of the W12 in the Bentley. Because although it was claimed that the V8 being developed would be used as an entry-level lump for the Continental GT – a nod to more frugal times – we did think it likely it would be more than that. Just because Daimler shut down Maybach in November doesn't mean that the marque won't still fetch top dollar on the open market. But, if buyers want something with a little more flair and a little less Grey Poupon, they can head to the Phillips de Pury & Co. auction in New York to pick one up that was used in the Jay-Z and Kanye West video for the song “Otis.” The Maybach 57 with a pedigree is expected to go for about $125,000, a third of what one costs new.

Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk and Jeep Wrangler Moab on sale next month

It’s been nearly two months since Jeep announced a special edition, and we were getting a bit worried. Luckily, on Tuesday morning, we were greeted by two new models—the Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk and the Jeep Wrangler Moab. The Trailhawk, which was introduced during the 2012 Easter Jeep Safari, will be offered with either a V8 or V6 engine and 18-inch all-terrain tires with Kevlar reinforcement.
