Toyota Urban Utility concept embraces maker movement

Toyota has unveiled a concept designed in response to the maker movement. Called the Urban Utility, or U2, the vehicle is intended to appeal to those who have embraced maker culture - the trend of learning new practical skills, embracing new construction technologies like 3D printing, and applying them in an inventive and often entrepreneurial way. The U2 will be unveiled at the World Maker Faire in New York City on 20 September and was designed at Toyota's Calty studio in Newport Beach, CA.

A special edition of the new Peugeot 208 – the Peugeot 208 Intuitive – has been launched with extra equipment. Price from £14,245. It’s over a year since the new Peugeot 208 was rolled out in the hope that it could revive Peugeot’s sales and bring back to the ailing French car maker some of the sales gloss they enjoyed with the 205.

Lamborghini 50th anniversary collection at Concorso Italiano 2013

There was no way the Concorso Italiano team was going to let Lamborghini’s 50th birthday slip by unnoticed, which is why this year there was a big effort made to get as many examples of the marque there was possible. While there were few real rarities, models from the past 25 years were there in big numbers; once again, the rarities will be out in force at the Pebble Beach Concours on Sunday… If you wanted to check out a Lamborghini timeline, the one here was pretty good. But there was no LM-002 4x4, which was a shame.
