| Designed to maximize traction. Newer rear rubber mixture improves durability by at least 25-30% over Michelin's S12 and M12 tires. Larger-diameter beads and thicker bead filler area help make sidewalls more rigid than before, which improves feedback. Additional thin casing ply under the tread helps improve traction and feel, and speeds warm-up time. S12 XC soft to intermediate terrain tires feature tall, narrow knobs for mud penetration; front knobs turned 45° for mud evacuation. M12 XC intermediate tires provide dependable traction and steering in mixed conditions and feature widely spaced knobs to shed mud quickly. |

Thanks to enthusiasts, the most powerful road-going Aston Martin ever is coming to the United States. The British sports-car maker confirmed on Friday that the V12 Vantage--packing 510 hp and 420 lb-ft of torque--will be sold in North and South America. This is a reversal from a year ago, when Aston tantalizingly showed off the car and promptly said it wasn’t coming here.

Volkswagen is due to reveal a one-seat electric car concept in early September as the manufacturer explores its greener future. Part of the on-going project to cut its average fleet emissions Volkswagen has designed the concept vehicle for limited journeys, with the vehicle due to be unveiled on September 8 in Berlin. There's no word yet as to whether it will appear at the Frankfurt motor show just a few days later, but we'd be surprised not to see it there.

VAUXHALL is to resurrect the Viva name as it plans to launch an entry-level car to sit alongside its Mini rival the Adam and soon to be launched new Corsa supermini. For now the car maker isn’t giving much away, although it has revealed that the new car will be a five-door model. And while the new Viva will be a significant step up in terms of refinement and sophistication over its 1963 namesake, it’s clear that Vauxhall is keen to tap into the current trend for producing low cost cars that’s proved so successful for the likes of Dacia.
