Ford Focus Econetic (2012) first official pictures
Wed, 06 Apr 2011Ford has released details and pictures of the 2012 Focus Econetic, the eco-efficiency variant of the new Ford Focus range with a hybrid-beating 80mpg claimed. Ford Focus Econetic: 80mpg and 95g/km Ford makes some impressive promises about the efficiency of the new Focus Econetic. The car has yet to be officially homolgated, but Ford has announced it expects 80mpg, and a hybrid-harassing 95g/km from the Focus Econetic's Duratorq TDCI direct-injection turbodiesel engine.
Maserati GranTurismo
Thu, 22 Feb 2007Maserati has released photos of their new coupe, the GranTurismo, in advance of its unveiling at Geneva next week. Designed by Pininfarina, the sketches also circulating were by Jason Castriota who penned the Maserati Birdcage concept shown in Geneva in 2005, before it turned heads at the Goodwood Festival of Speed that year. There is affinity between the two designs, and a more aggressive look than the current car designed by ItalDesign.
BMW and Toyota to team up for sports car
Fri, 29 Jun 2012BMW and Toyota have agreed to jointly engineer and produce a new sports car as part of a broad-reaching technical partnership that is also set to center on lightweight construction solutions, fuel-cell development and hybrid powertrains. The announcement of the deal builds on an existing agreement for the supply of BMW diesel engines for various Toyota models, agreed to in December 2011. That was advanced with the signing of a memorandum by BMW CEO Norbert Reithofer and Toyota chairman Akio Toyoda in Munich, Germany, on Friday.
