If you thought the old Daihatsu Copen roadster was a bit feminine for a ‘sports’ car, you’ll be pleased with this: Daihatsu’s new, butched-up, small two-seater roadster, the 2014 RMZ Kopen concept. The aggressive-looking mini cabriolet will make its world debut at the 2013 Tokyo Motor Show later this month alongside another, rather interesting version of Daihatsu’s didi prototype – the off-road-inspired XMZ Kopen concept. Winners announced for Car Design Awards China 2010

The winners of the inaugural Car Design Awards China 2010 were announced at an awards ceremony on 21 April in Beijing, just prior to Auto China. Automotive design directors and the design press gathered at automotive design studio CH-Auto to celebrate the achievements of the next generation of car designers. Presenters Edward Wong (China Central Academy of Fine Arts) and Kumo Chiu (Idea Dao Design) took to the stage and introduced the winning student designers in five awards categories.

2012 BMW 1-Series - now from BMW When we reported that the 2012 BMW 1 Series had leaked out yesterday, we did say it wouldn’t take long for BMW to release details officially, especially as there were so many official photos of the 2012 1-Series. In the end it took all of 24 hours for BMW to get it together and send us details, which lets us fill in the gaps from yesterday on detail, although there’s really nothing new on the photo front. We know from yesterday that the 2012 BMW 1-Series is bigger than the outgoing car, and that the styling, particularly on the nose, is a more confident statement than before.
